Session Type:
Downhill
Bournemouths last outlaw was a rainy, rainy fail so we present you with the Bomo outlaw mini series, in the middle of August to (fingers crossed) safeguard against rain! The main event will be nighttime 4 man heats from the top of sea road finishing on the far side of the roundabout with an early evening race using the whole of Boscombe Gardens while we wait for Sea Road to be clear of traffic, combined positions from both races will dictate who gets the Outlaw League points. As the races need to be held late in the day we suggest that everybody come join us for beers, BBQs, beach bonfire and camping at Hengisburry Head once the racing is over. Aim to be in Bournemouth by 6pm at the latest but try get into town and come for a session in the daytime if you fancy it. Contact myself or any of the rest of the Bournemouth crew for phone numbers so you can find us once you hit town. YOU RACE AT YOUR OWN RISK, KNEE PADS AND SLIDE GLOVES RECOMMENDED, NO HELMET NO RACING BLAH BLAH BLAH....

Hey im well up for droppin by for a daytime session but I cant stay for the night races. where would be best to meet people during the day? or should I just ask for numbers and give you a call when I get there?
Ben allen
Stone dancer the surface on sea road is nowhere near "buttery smooth" but it is completely do able. AliThomas knee pads, and gloves are basically essential and I my self would advise a full face helmet and at least a leather jacket. But you will be allowed to race in just a helmet if you like. Bongoon we wont be called to account we're be super sly like sexy skate ninjas!

Right Bomo mini series is coming up soon. If everybody racing could make their way to carve watersports in Boscombe, Bournemouth (BH7 6AR) by 1.30 at the latest we'll make our way out to super fun Matchams close run for some 2 man instant knock out action, then down to Boscombe Gardens for some 3/4 man knock out shenanigans followed by 4 man Sea road madness in the later evening. Its going to be a late one so bring tents and booze and we'll rock out beach party stylee at Hengisburry Head. PRIZES we got a free kitesurfing lesson (Value £100) from the very "professional" people at Carve, some tshirts, assorted shit from my boot and hopefully more to be confirmed. Any questions get in touch people.

I'm up for this, Sorted Surf and I were talking about doing a legal event here years ago but never got around to it. What are you doing about the car barrier at the end of Boscombe gardens? Is it still there. If you race that flat out you'll never stop in time. Limbo at 30mph? :o) Is the surface still rough on Sea Road it's been ages since I hit that road. Are you going right or left at the bottom? Right is easier to make but left has an extra ramp. I have a set of cones too I'll bring them. We also use them to make tame runs more "interesting" You can do slalom on anything that turns, a lush tula would do. I have traffic cones too to temp stop traffic.
Jonsteel24
it would be great to run a slalom race! XSS has some cones, I'll bring them along if people want to give it a bash? I haven't got a slalom board, mind.
Ben Allen
Anybody is welcome Sam Dix and ride whatever you want man its going to be fast and drifty at the bottom so what ever works for you init.
Sam dix
is any one invited coz im havent done any events before im guessin this is for run what size board would be suitable as mines 46inches
Jonathanshires
lol i wouldnt even know where to start!! i dont even know anyone who's into slalom; i assumed someone would know someone who did! And yeah for boscombe gardens its preeety sketchy cause its so thin and very smooth i've only ever wanted to carve it hard and it was sooo fast... IMO :D
Ben Allen
Bring some cones then Jonathanshires lets get on it! Benjic there is no age limit but you will have to wear a helmet to race and I'd recommend knee pads n slide gloves as well.
Jonathanshires
Slaloms not my thing either Ben! i just thought it might be cool :D
Benjic
hey is there an age limit coz im 14

Kai and I will be down for this, will be driving across from Kent...
Ben Allen
The Camping will be at Hengisburry Head which is basically a beach just roll up on the day and we'll sort camping out then if your getting the train down or whatever there will be plenty of cars to stash stuff in until the beach is campable. Hope that helps Alfig, if not shout me again.
Alfig
Could you post some info ref places to camp or pitch a tent ?
Ben Allen
Not my thing man, but feel free to get something on the go and we'll tie it all together somehow.
Jonathanshires
